Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand
Have just had a trip to Queenstown compliments of NZ's most popular sparkling wine LINDAUER. We went for the Winter Festival which included the famous Lindauer Masquerade Ball and lots of other events. The weather was sunny and temperatures were between -3 degrees Celcius and about 4-5 degrees during the day - in other words, bloody freezing!! Here are the pics:
The view from our hotel the night we arrived - beautiful!

Beside The Earnslaw steamer - only two merino scarves on today!
The hardy folks from the Queenstown Creative market - working outside and below 0° Celcius!
Looking very stylish accessorising Merino Minnie scarves with Shotover jet clothing, still below 0°.
Going up the gondola. Very steep and a wee bit of snow and ice. |
At the top and product testing the new merino slouchy armwarmers - yes they are warm but I would like to go inside now.
And how else would you keep the outdoor furniture warm enough to sit on????NZ wool innovates again!
Drinking Lindauer Special Reserve at the ball. Wearing the merino slouchy armwarmers unslouched ( & a strange mask with a fur nose).
